A hundred years ago this would be unthinkable but every day there are more atheists or "unaffiliated" people. I think this is caused by increased speed of information sharing. Today it is much easier to find answers to your questions regarding religions and debate people ( like here, on reddit ). Before, people lived in their bubble ( most likely their community ) and did not share their worldviews and ideas so much as they do today, could this be a possible reason for the decline of religion?
