If a man only dies once...

I've heard christians do not believe in reincarnation because of this verse. Are there any other verses that argue against reincarnation in the bible?

My thought is: a man (person) is a body and a soul. When the body dies are they still a man? I always assumed, in the christian tradition... at this point they are simply a spirit or a soul awaiting judgement. Then if judged well they get rewarded with their body, if not they get sent to hell (or a variety of other places if you're catholic or mormon)

What I'm getting at is: a man is a body and a soul. If after you die and you're only a soul, and are given a new body on earth for example, wouldn't that be a new man (person)?
