Just as my title says I'm clearly not a happy camper right now. My devout christian parents got a hold of one of my library books that i was readining for inspiration for my book and immediately assumed I was writing the next Necronomicon. They berated me all night and so far all day and they gave me an ultimatum to leave their house in a month. They didn't even give me time to explain myself fully before forcing me to burn my notebook and delete my story on my laptop. their reason was that the book ( titled Scythe by Neil Shusterman) was blatantly promoting killing and satanism. the book was weird yeah (people couldn't die naturally so they had to hire people to do it and some kids went against it. not the greatest book actually, tried too hard to be believable.) but satanism was not in there or at least it didn't overtly promote it. They said that the logo and the back cover summary was from the satanist commandments (I ain't never looked that stuff up how the hell am i to know those were even actually from that?) then my dad fussed at me saying that I needed to do more with my "idle time" and that an "idle hand and mind is the devil's' playthings". last i recalled it actually took time and effort to make something like a book! And the real heart breaking part that took the piss was that my mom who graduated from college with a degree in English sat there and joined with him! I'm just glad that they didn't burn it instead of rushing to return the book a day before my original plan.

ARGH!! i'm so angry right now at my parents, they still have no trust in me after all of these years to decide better for myself. I just wanted to write a sci-fi dystopian book that was satirically based on the current state of America while passing my time with job hunting and working part time. Now my parents think I am joining the occult or next jeffrey dahmer.

Sigh,Surely my current plight must be a sign that I should continue being a writer or at least a talented musician because my family life is such a disgrace!
