The book of Daniel is the most interesting book in the entire Bible to me. As someone who has often struggled with doubt about the existence of God this book seems to be some of the most definitive proof -- IF it was written before some of the events in the later chapters in the book.
Many sources seem to indicate this book was written by Daniel, including the text inside the Bible itself. For this to be true, it would have to be written well before some of the events it predicted with amazing accuracy such as the Alexander the Great conquest and his kingdom being split into four. Some sources I've seen say that the later half of this book was written around 164 BC instead after all of these events have occured.
I'm not the most educated on the book and I've seen many conflicting sources on this so I wanted to ask the opinions on the date of the book from you all here. Is there anyway to more accurately determine the date of the book? Is this something we can know for sure?
