Android Perk Wallet gives error when redeeming.

I have tried this on 2 different devices, get the same results on both: enter phone number for verification, gives Error, please try again.

I've logged out/back in, restarted the app, restarted the phones, and even uninstalled/reinstalled, but no change. I've opened a ticket, but the response I've received to another problem (clear cache, really? I uninstalled/reinstalled) doesn't inspire confidence.

I saw this error in another message here, but the poster was in Canada, and switching the country to the US resolved the problem, but I'm in the US. I even added the 1 to the phone numbers, hoping that might be needed, but nope. I'm alternating between a text number and a land line, but no luck with anything so far.

Anyone else having issues? anything I've missed trying? This will be my first redemption, so I'm a little unsure whether I may be messing up here.

Swagbucks at first seems too good to be true right? They are just going to give you free stuff for just searching for a word in their search engine, watching videos, answering a few simple questions.
